My memory of a chat with Billy before the Sacramento show

here is what Billy and I talked about that i can recall

I asked Billy what speed teargarden theme was suppose to be played at.. and he changed the subject to asking if anyone had heard the alt version Teargarden Theme that was suppose to be on the 7" with the lucky 100 gold obelisk . Since no one has seem to reportedly gotten one of the 100 by my report to him (and if there have been ones i hadn't heard anything about it.) Billy picked up his Blackberry and sent out an email right then and there to find out what happen.

EMI had done some research costing some 3 million dollars and they found out that SP has a strong core base and that the casual fan has a positive perception of Smashing Pumpkins.
He mention that the Gish box set really looked like a go. EMI had done a lot of market research and saw that doing something with Gish would make good sales. SP gave them what they would require to be an expectable deal before the 7 EMI people left. But when it came back it was so far off that Billy said that his lawyer (who happens to be a she) laughed at them and they just said screw it. And this meeting happen like a year ago,
Billy was reserved about putting out the box on his own because if the Gish box didn't sell then that could screw it for future projects

He also mention again how the music companies are looking for a new model to do business for the past 10 years with the introduction of the internet, and he felt that things are still in a change. But the thing that hasn't changed is that the bands are still being treated by the record companies, with the attitude of you need us, we don't need you. Which is completely wrong.

seven years after Billy's Warner Bro contract is expired Billy will retain all the rights to the songs from Zwan, his solo album and Zeitgeist. He owns the rights to everything Gish and pre. along with some 28 shows that were video taped (which if i recall right was before Gish came out)

Billy mention that their are pretty much instrumentals of every song post Gish that he would like to put out sometime.
He cancel the archive project because of the lack of support of the core fans. He mention a number of 300k would needed to be put into the project (that number could of just been a number), but he can't just hope that it works out without fan support. The fans need to help put the money out there first to get it going. But all the talk of "well what if it sucks?" is really what killed it

He also said he would love to go to China, but has never been made an offer.

and the best part was at one point i asked about the change of his twitter icon to the 2 horses, and he kind of laughed and said "Monte you need to spend more time with your beautiful wife"

i also joked with him about how my supportive wife was ok with us going to santa barbara.
I had told her lets go on a romantic get away to Santa Barbara on Labor Day weekend, but do u mind if we see an SP concert, they just happen to be there

My trip to see the Smshing Pumpkins

I left from the Oakland airport about 6pm and headed to Chicago. I got to sit in an aisle in the 2^nd row. Oddly enough the front row right in front of me was empty and continued to be empty for 4 mins as people kept passing it up. The flight had this one lady on the plane that was obviously very needy. As we took off she put her hands up in the air like she was on a roller coaster, and started to wave them and say “I just want to dance when we take off, it’s just so much fun”. Then the second that the crew members got up she asked for a pillow and a blanket. When they came back with one, she asked for 2 more pillows, which they gave to her, but you could tell the crew member was kind of annoyed. When drink orders came around she had asked for 2 drinks. Water and some soda. When the soda came she asked for the can,. When the crew member informed her that they actually didn’t have enough drinks to give out cans the women was frustrated. When snacks came around she took a lion’s share from the crew members. And about 20 mins later she then requested more treats. At this point she was starting to really annoy me. So I threw my jacket over my head and tried to get some sleep.

When the plane landed I knew I had to run to the car rental place, which was going close in 20 mins. I ran out the plane and this same annoying lady asked me “hey you, where is my luggage” I told her I didn’t know I didn’t care and took off.

I got to the car rental place just in time. Rented a car and accidentally overpaid for the car by tacking on that stupid insurance deal that I don’t need because my insurance company covers any rental I drive. So there went $40 bucks…

It was about 1AM and I was on my way from Chicago to Davenport, Iowa. A very boring drive. Nothing to see and the freeway hardly had any lights. In some places none at all. I am driving and about 60 miles outside of davenport on highway 80 when all of sudden a big rig just in front of me changes lanes without blinking and just as I was about to pass on the left. I slam on the brakes car spins to the right, my front end hits the side of the truck I am in a wild back and forth spin as the truck just drives on. I end up spinning a 180 and looking at the 3am traffic that was behind me and I end up some how in the center dived area which is a big green field. But no airbags had deployed. A little frighten by what happen I sit for a min, turn off the car as a few cars zoom on by me. I get the car to start and I get back on the freeway. Just so I can see what happened to my rental car.. as I got on the freeway I heard something dragging on the road with me… once I pull over and take a look at my car I see the right head light had popped out like an eye out of a socket. I picked it up and shoved it back in. the front end looked kind of messed up… I keep driving and get on the phone with the rental car company. Tell them what happen. And as I try to tell them what happen my phone drops the call several times. I end up finding out that $40 I wasted was going cover EVERYTHING. No deductible or any additional paper work.

I drive the car to the rental place by davenport where I was planning to drop off the car and end up going to a near by residential street to sleep till the place opened at 8am. I get all cozy in my messed up car, ready for dream land and BAM! Big white light from behind. Yup, you guessed it. It was the cops. Ends up a neighbor called the cops about a unknown car that just parked on the street. (mind you that its 3:40am at this point). I talked to the officer, told him what happen and what I was doing, and why I was in town. The officer than asked me if I had ever met Billy Corgan before, and I said “ya a few times” he told me to enjoy the show and that I could stay. He was very friendly and easy to deal with. I went to sleep putting this whole mess behind me.

The next morning I go and swap out my car, and drive the theater that SP is going play at. Walking around the most uneventful city and my troubles start again. Using my blackberry to see if I can find any free or even paid wifi I end up walking towards this court house when all of sudden this car comes out of this secure underground parking garage that had a barricade of 3 big yellow poles that went down. 2 officers and some scared looking ppl were in the back inside a non-descript car. It was pretty cool, I let them go by instead of getting in the way. The barricade then goes right back up. I keep walking and end up sitting down in front of the courthouse when all of sudden a state marshal comes outside and asks me what am I doing. I explain and he asks me to step inside.. he asked if I was writing down a license plate, and I explained that I didn’t want to waste my laptop battery on looking for wifi so I was using the phone. He asked me for my ID and I gave it to him, he walked off and 2 mins later came back and explained that they had just been concerned b/c those people were in a witness protection program. I then left on my way

So after that excitement I chose to go sit down near the back entrance of the theater. As I sit there and wait I end up seeing Lisa Harriton (keyboards of the SP). I say hi to her, she says hi back. Lisa then went into the building and another fan comes by and talks to me, and I tell him how Lisa came by. A few mins later I see Billy coming up the street and I stand up to shake his hand, and I can see that he is kind of laughing (as he clearly remembered me). I said hello to him and I talked along with this other fan. As he talked he had mentioned that “I know whatever I say to you will be on the internet” I asked him a few questions and then told him I had something for him. A copy of the July 15^th and 31^st shows that I had made DVDs of. He looked at it with a big smile at the wonderful artwork that was done and then told me that this show (referring to the 31^st) was the best show the band felt and that they were going use, Starla, the rose march, 99 floors, gossamer from these shows on the upcoming DVD, And that it was going be released in HD.

He then talked to some of the workers and took off for an antique store.

A few mins later the SP Media Militia guy showed up. He asked me and the other fan if either of us were “Monte”. I said I was and he politely introduced himself and we talked for a bit. Really nice guy. Then we discussed a few things before he went in.

As I sat and waited I saw Ginger show up w/ whom I think was her hubby. She actually said Hi to me. As I wasn’t sure that it was her. I thought that was so nice. A few mins later Jimmy walks up and I told him I was excited to see him again. He said hi and went right in. Billy end up coming back wearing a hat that he had just bought. I asked if he’d wear that hat at the show. He said no, still got the “space costume”

He went on in and the rehearsal began.. I got to hear all of the soundcheck, and reported about it online… the band then all came out when myself and a different fan named Todd but goes by Toad were outside. It ended up the building was falling apart from how loud the sound was. The band just chilled with us and we talked a little… Jimmy got on the phone right away, and I asked Billy how does Jimmy deal with being away from his family on tours like this. Billy joked “..he pretends like they don’t even exist” The band all started laughing and Jeff said “that guy is always on the phone with his wife and family.” Billy praised Jimmy as a great father and Jeff said jimmy is on the phone with his wife like 10 times a day.

We talked for a good hour, and at one point Billy was requesting me to ask him questions.

After everything was cool inside the band went back in. They played some more songs and when they came out for the night Billy said bye along with the other band members. Lisa requested a copy of the DVD’s I made

I hung out with this guy name Todd during the rest of the night until my friend Rachel showed up. I really enjoyed spending time with Todd and his friends that showed up that night. All very nice people.

The next day I dressed up in a suit and tie. Then went and got to the theater early in the morning. A few people arrived shortly after Rachel and I did. We talked with these folks and members showed up to the venue pretty smoothly. When Billy came up I said hi to him and he said hi back and told me “Looking good Monte” as he went into the venue. This kind of blew my mind.

Homer Simpson was asked by his son Bart, ‘what’s it like being famous?’ and Homer said ‘People know your name but you don’t know theirs’

I had never told Billy my name ever in any of the number of encounters I have had with him (24 encounters after counting).

The band played a soundcheck that sounded great. The concert was a lot of fun at davenport. But I wasn’t allowed to film it because of house issues

After the show and seeing Billy leave the venue and saying hi to him, my friend Rachel and I took off for Indiana. But not before saying bye to some wonderful people

The next show in Indiana was interesting. The band was playing @ the Hammond Horseshoe Casino. Rachel and I got in line and meet a great couple from Kentucky. We had a nice visit with them and the Venue was inside a casino. The Event manager David was super helpful and nice to us as we waiting in the line. He was so generous to let us stay in line. Then the guy who booked the show came by and gave us 10 ppl in line waiting a free lunch @ the buffet. It was so very awesome! The food was great. The wait in line was pleasant. After the show we were going wait for BC but chose to take off instead. I then flew back to CA.. end of story

I am very happy to say this was the easiest show to sync audio. I hope to have 3 more shows done before year end. Those being August 1st, July 25th & 28th

during the 4th of July weekend my friend from N.C. was here in San Francisco and together we worked on the July 31st DVD. We spent 2 days collectively to work on it. We watched the DVD a few times and edited and re-edited it. but now it is online for the public (you) to download while the bandwidth last.

In other news I am going see the pumpkins in Aug. for the first two shows of the pumpkins new tour. They are going be playing in Iowa and Indiana.

I have also been working on the new netphoria.org front webpage which i understand will be launched this coming Tuesday or Wednesday. Its been a lot of work, but a whole bunch of fun too.

I have secretly been working on the 27th show all day today, and have all the audio synced up to the video. I just need to encode the video for DVD and author it. I have been trying to make the DVD's look a little better. here is a sneak peak of the new menu's. The 1st DVD is done and working on the 2nd one in the morning.

Water Concern

Have any of you ever been concerned about a water shortage in your area?

recently my water provider called our supply of water to be in a drought. And a few weeks later the state declared a state wide drought.

at about 1:15am in the morning i woke up thirsty and went to get a drink of water and notice the water font had very low water pressure. i checked the bathrooms to find low water pressure there too. I then went outside with my mother to find no water leaking..

I went back to bed very concerned about what was going on. Then at about 1:30am my mother comes in my room and tells me she is hearing a lot of water. We go outside and a large flow of water is gushing down the street gutters. I rush up the hill to find a semi open hydrant.

I called my water provider and minutes later they arrived and all the water from the hydrant was off by 1:45am water pressure returned, but my mind is still concerned.

Smashing Pumpkins July 15h 2007 Live @ the Fillmore

I have been working on getting complete audio for the 15th for sometime now and seem to come up empty handed. I just got the audio for the show without track splits yesterday. I started to sync the video and audio today (June 14th) If things go right I should have the DVD ready at the end of the day on Fathers Day or Monday.

It took a little while but both DVDs are complete! After a little effort and a non track split recording I got this DVD done after just 2 days of working on it. And if I didn't have a job I could of done it all in 1 day.

Some Highlight: Billy does a lot of banter most of which are very funny. First appearance of Death From Above. Only appearance of Promise Me. Last (as of date) appearance of 7 Shades of Black & Translucent. Jimmy loses his right drum stick towards the end of Doomsday Clock.

I have video for all the fillmore shows that Smashing Pumpkins did @ the Fillmore.. So far i have 4 shows that I am working on getting non track split audio for. We will see how that works out.

The Smashing Pumpkins July 16th 2007 DVD

It only took me almost a year to get this done.. But I know how to do the DVD's right!

Recently I did the Utah DVD and I had the audio w/o splits.. And I did the Santa Cruz DVD without track splits, and that was super easy..
I forgot that I had audio w/o track splits for this show for a long time! Either way I am super excited about this DVD.

I know of a few small minor audio screw ups, but the audio is pretty good because it was recoreded right next to me in the balcony where it was quiet and I am sure people will like this show..

The Mighty Setlist from SPFC

The Utah Show was a really up close show, and it is awesome in that respect.
This Show is awesome because it was one of the Fillmore residency shows! A long 26 song track list along with A LOT of banter.

I am currently watching Disc 1 which is the 1st 13 songs. I hope to have disc 2 ready this afternoon when I get home from work. All the editing is done, I just have to do the DVD menus. And by Saturday I should have this DVD up for limited download.. Watch my blog or the Netphoria forums for more information on the download.

My Friends Josh & Tim Race Each Other

This weekend I went to watch my two friends race.

Tim & Josh had been trash talking about how they had raced each other over the past year and both had a victory.

With Tim going away to school in a few weeks, both felt it was time for a a foot race to settle it.

After so many issues. I finally finished my Utah DVD. I am working on a bunch of Smashing Pumpkin bootlegs. This was my least favorite crowd. It was hard to get good footage with people trying to crush you. When I was at the SF show, the Las Vegas show, and the South Carolina show the crowds were nice to me when up front. So thumbs down to Utah. This is Sept 28th 2007

I am going out with a girl tonight and I had offered her to wear a necklace I own.. i gave her this story and then i realized that it was 2 years ago that i did this video

Anyways, here is the story and the video

It all happened in the Summer of 2005. I was seeing the same girl for the past 2 and half years. Our relationship was much like a football field filled with mole holes. But it seem like we were on our way to cleaning up everything as we decided that we would spend the Summer to figure out if we were going to get married or if we were going to call it quits before she was to return to BYU Utah for her 2nd time and finish her bachelor’s degree in chemistry.

I chose to take her on vacation along with my parents & her sister Kim to Southern California. We drove down early and spent day 1 at Six Flags Magic Mountain then the next day we went to the King Tut exhibited in Los Angeles. We chose to head to the LA temple before going to the Newport Beach Temple open house. While on the grounds of the LA temple we chose to get some lunch. Being familiar with the area I chose to go to the Westfield Mall down the street to have lunch.

I knew that a Tiffany & Co. was located at this mall and I had my eye on this necklace for this girl. I vanished off for a min to pick up the item and made a detour at Gap to get some new clothing to make it appear as though I wanted to be better dressed than I was for the temple open house. I dropped into the Tiffany store, found the necklace and purchased it. On the way to the Newport Temple I told the young women that I had got her a small something.. she searched in my gap bag to find a small Tiffany bag similar to several she had gotten threw the past 2 and half years. But this item wasn’t like any of the calm silver bracelet & necklaces she had gotten in the past. I could sense a little bit of nervousness as she open the box. Her jaw dropped as she saw this elegant diamond heart shaped necklace with a pearl in the center and a diamond just about the heart as well.

As time went on that Aug I had picked up a diamond ring for her from Tiffany & Co to go with her jewelry. We were engaged until she called it off in November due to concerns that she wasn’t sure about us anymore. The mole holes had returned and I fell broke the ankle of my heart… She returned this necklace and the engagement ring. I maintain the wedding band we had both chose together at Tiffany and it sits in my safe deposit box.

The necklace has lost all emotional tie to the past owner, and is just a beautiful object. To one day be won by whomever deserves and would want it.

So that is why I have it.. man am I long winded.

No Right Turns

Belt Broken then President Hinckley dies.. what's next

So I have a broken timing belt and my alternator belt fell off this Sunday. The later that day President Hinckley passed away. It was a pretty crazy Sunday.
President Hinckley was the 15th Church President & Prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He died in his apartment in Salt Lake City at the age of 97 years old. He was inspiring in many ways to me. But what I will remember most is his kind spirit & his love for the work of Jesus Christ.

I am on the road with live blogging on my phone and you are my

Fishing and Dating

I have felt like my hook has been baited. I have gone fishing a lot. Some of them get away or get tossed back. I think for all my fishing, I have learned that if you go fishing too often, it can become more of a job than an enjoyable thing.

That is why I am switching my plans. No more fishing two or five times in a month. I think i will scale down to once a month. at the start of the month I will ask someone out. She doesn't have to really be anyone who I am very interested in. It could be a friend whom I have not seen in a while.

Last week I went out with a girl who is a friend. that I took out a number of time. It was fun and I count it as my date for Jan 2008. We went out for dinner and karaoke. But she won't be rotated back in most likely for the rest of the year. I have never found us to be romantic interest.

2 Girls in 2 Days 2 Different Situations

This is going be a blog that is more like a one way letter to my friend Sarah, whom might be the only person to read this.. Or maybe not?

Do I really want to be open and honest on the internet, where anyone could read this and I could regret it for years to come?

Sure, why not.

Girl 1 Day 1 Situation 1

So on the 26th of December 2007 in the evening I will be going out with this girl name Trudy. The plan is simple, we will meet up around 5:30pm to go and do indoor sky diving then afterwards, go and grab something to eat. Assuming we can stomach it all.

Let me give you my reasons why I am excited and why I am not excited about this "date".

Why am I Excited?
1) I have wanted to do this activity for sometime.

Why am I Not Excited?
1) I am not sure I am up for a this kind of "blind" date.
(a friend of mine, mother had made the suggestion for me to ask this girl out. The mother was "matched" up with her husband for a blind date by a friend & she is really thankful for that.)
2) I have no connection with this girl outside of a friends mother.
(this REALLY makes me uncomfortable. I have gone out with plenty of girls whom I have known just as much about, but I had a 1 on 1 connection with the girl already. An in person meeting before asking someone out is FAR more comforting for me than an over the phone thing.)
3) She is a vegetarian!
(My best friend online *SARAH* is a vegetarian! And I love that girl! But ya, we never could date for a number of reason and her being a vegetarian would be one of them. There is an impression that all vegetarian want you to become vegetarian which isn't true.. but Lisa Simpson screwed me over to think all vegetarians are pushy!)
4) I am not ready to date
(I like this one girl & I don't think I will give this girl a proper consideration. Even though, the girl I like is not likely to work out, She stands as a river block that I have yet to cross. "The Golden Gate wasn't built in one day!")

So this date is doom! Bound to fail. I will most likely just be nice with her and wish her good luck. And if she sees this some how before our date. Hi Trudy!

Girl 2 Day 2 Situation 2

So on the 27th of December 2007 I will be spending all day with this girl name Janelle. A long time friend whom I have known since probably 1999. We don't see each other much, but we talk with comfort. And our best memory is us going around SF all day. A wonder of a day!

Let me give you my reasons why I am excited and why I am not excited about this "date".

Why am I Excited?
1) I haven't seen Janelle for a long time!
2) I love San Francisco!
3) Janelle is hot!
4) I have a great relationship with Janelle which makes going out all day very comfortable

Why am I Not Excited?
1) Janelle & I are just friends, and tomorrow won't change anything.

Pseudo Dating

I stopped to think about this more. I took a perspective of someone (Steph) asking the question with possibly NO IDEA if what just happen (a guy and a girl going out for something to eat) was a date or not...

I mean how many girls have I gone out with to dinner, or a Saturday lunch, or on a hot air balloon ride without saying "hey wanna go out on a date"

Some people must think the word "date" might be some what of a taboo kind of word, so they Pseudo Date by asking someone of the opposite sex whom they might or might not be interested into to 'hang out'.

Pseudo Dating is horrible IMHO. I like to think about people who deny that they pseudo date are like people who think that stealing cable is okay.

This is thanksgiving...
Every year we go around and say what we are thanksful for. There is 40
people here and its so nice to have family here!! Everyone this year
is very thankful for all that we have but mostly for my Aunt. She had
a major surgery a few months ago that should of kept us from having it
here.

They sure are crazy here in the south. I thought this was just odd.
You have to be in the creepy part of time to see AD's like this, not
just driving down the major interstate.

Now I know in S. CA they have ad's like this. But not from what I have

So I am on my way to the airport to come back to the land of the
golden gate. I am happy to say that my visit was a complete sucess. I
met some really nice people. South Carolina had some really pretty
girls, too bad it seems like they all drink and smoke... Mostly smoke.

If their was any real culture shock, it was how many people smoke in
South Carolina. It was pretty weird.... Smoking is just so "shun" in
California because of how unhealthy it is. So many people quit it.

Sometimes I go above and beyond with
something as simple as asking a girl out on a date. Lisa isn't just any girl I admit. She is a fantastic girl.
So instead of calling her, e-mailing, or text messaging her to ask for a date, I did this.
Making the poster, cutting out the stars, and making the CD, going to her house all took 3 and half hours... Where a simple phone call to ask her out for Friday would of taken 3 and a half seconds.
I hope nothing blew away in the night.....

Lost in Motor Crash

So I got hit by a golf cart this week. about $2000 worth of damage..
But the guy is going pay out of pocket, so no insurance to report.
I am not sure what I will do with the money. I can either fix the car or
I can pocket it. The car has 230,000 miles on it and I am going just

Man is this a big one or what!! Some people really get into this holiday.
Last night I had a dream that I was in a room full of spiderwebs and
they where big and fresh. Then I saw the spider on the ceiling and it
looked ready to attack me. It was a little larger than the size of a
baseball cap. And it attacked me. I took off the hat I was wearing to
catch it and then kill it. Kind of creepy huh?

Worst part of it is that I ate a piece of bread in the front of the bag.

When I found the moldy bread I was on the phone with my friend sarah
and she told me that most likely all the bread has mold it just had
yet to get colorful. *sigh*

trip to monterey

So this weekend I went out w/ the lovely Lisa & had a great time in
the monterey area. We walked around shops, went to the aquarium. Did a
scenic drive on the historic 17 mile drive at Pebble Beach and went to
Carmel for a lovely dinner.

So it had to be one of the longest day of my life. It started with
going to work at 8:30am about an hour than I normally ever go to work
and having go home at 6pm about 3 hours later than I normally go home.
Well I made some money so I guess some good came out of it.

But when I got home I had several phone calls to make and then have my
new quarterly meeting. Working for yourself has its adventages but not
having someone to bounce ideas around with in a meeting can sure make
it seem like a very unproductive 2 hour meeting.

Now its time for bed. I hope I don't look stupid when I'm
sleeeping.... I never really liked sunny days...

There are people who will get that and then there are people who won't.

the smashing pumpkins

So I went to Utah and Colorado to see the smashing pumpkins for my
15th and 16th time this year! It was defently different than what I
saw at the Fillmore in SF

Utah was interesting because I was with a lot of people who were
seeing SP for the 1st time. A friend of mine from california was at
the show but I never got to talk to her. The show was a little rough
because I was video taping while being hit from every sidre. For the
most part the show was alright. Nothing too special.

In colorado the veneue was amazing. A friend took soom awesome pix
that I will post later. But the show was pretty avg. The camera gave
me a lot of issues so I didn't tape the full show. But here is a pic

New Blackberry!

So Yesterday I bought a new blackberry known as the Curve. I really didn't have to get a new phone, as my Blackberry 8700g was holding up nicely, but this new blackberry has a lot of featured that I was excited to get.

Features I LOVE:
1) Digital Camera
Now that I have a blog I wanted to be able to blog from on the go, and it only made sense that I include pictures. I will be able to blog from my phone and post pictures I just took. Talk about on demand! Now I know that isn't new to some people, but for those who do this, they know how cool & valuable it is for a blog
2) Weight & Size
This Blackberry is half the weight if not more than my past 'berry. Which has its plus when you are holding it for an extended amount of time.
3) WiFi & VoIP access
This is one of those techy feature. So i will dumb it down for you guys. I paid an additional $10 a month plus $50 one time price for a special Linksys t-mobile router (the router came w/ a $50 mail-in-rebate; so cost is $0). This router allows me to talk on the phone using my internet as the source of which my phone calls go in & out of when I am in range. The $10 a month I am paying makes any calls I do from within range of my router FREE! (well not for international calls) But none of my minutes will be effective. 100% awesome! Or I can go to a local starbuck that has the T-Mobile HOT SPOT and be able to connect there and talk for free too!
4) New Phone Plane
This isn't necessarily have much to do with the phone, other than the feature i just mentioned above which required this phone or 2 other phones that are WiFi / VoIP ready.
But my new plan gives me 600 minutes plus nights & weekends. And the MyFaves 5. The MyFaves 5 is unlimited calling to any 5 numbers I want. And I can change the 5 numbers I chose once a billing cycle. Plus my typical unlimited data & txt messaging and the WiFi / VoIP feature I just wrote about.
This plan is costing me about $10 more a month than my past plan which was 1500 mins FLAT! No nights and weekends. I figured with the 600 minutes and the unlimited nights & weekends, and unlimited @ home will do me good!

Their are a few new feature, just not really that worthy to blog too much about. Like the fact that I can use multi IM services at once. The MP3 player & Video player in it. The Voicedailing feature & supposedly I can get it to work as a GPS unit. I couldn't find out how that worked out from anything online so whatever. I still have google maps on the phone & i tend to know where I am.

There are somethings I don't like about it. As you might be able to tell from the picture it is in a glossy shell. Which for me scares the daylights out of me! I am tough on my phone. my old blackberry has a number of battle scares of drops and tossing it. This phone is a little snotty in that regard. I have to be careful with it

Girls, Work & Stuff

Girls:

So I took this girl on a really cool date about a month ago. It was so much fun! But she went to school like the next week, out of state (Utah). Well we really didn't keep in great contacted. She had a little computer issue and I helped her out on that. But other than that we really didn't keep in solid contact.... Well as you might know I am going see Smashing Pumpkins in Utah this week. And I had asked this girl to get ice cream. Well ends up she is "hooking" up with this guy. Which I am really happy for her! But because of this possible relationship she isn't sure if she can do ice cream..
I understand, but at the same time I just laugh so hard at this idea of she feeling unsure if she can see me. Ice Cream won't be a date (that's for sure). A date for me requires me to make the girl a custom CD to be consider a date. Well whatever she choses is her choice....

Work:

So as you might know I own my own business; a successful computer business. Well sometimes I do some funny stuff for clients and today was no exception. One of my clients had me help make a digital scrap book. I spent 7 and a half hours on it at $30 an hour. We made 2 books! She had them printed. Each book cost them $175
CRAZY!

Adventures in Dating & Other Stuff

Yesterday (Sept 21st 2007) was a day of not too much.

I went to the temple w/ some missionaries. Saw this really cool 5 year old kid giving the peace sign out to all the cars that drove by and had a date.

My date was one of my more low key dates. we went to The Elite Cafe and the food was very good! If you have never been, you should go. The place was pretty busy, I loved that feeling. After dinner we went out for karaoke!

My date wasn't really sure about karoake at first because she said she couldn't carry a tune. But she did amazing. We only asked for an hour and man did that hour fly by. We had a lot of fun singing all sorts of songs, from Britney Spears - Sometimes, to Weezer -Island in the Sun. When you sing these songs they have video footage playing behind it. Some of the video footage was really weird.

Day 2: Am I going to Denver?

A good friend of mine has been very encouraged me to go to Denver for seeing The Smashing Pumpkins.
Why would I go to see the same band again after I will have just saw them in Utah just a day before. Well, it is all because of this friend.
For her sake we will call her Sarah! Sarah told me she has been wanting to go to this concert for sometime and then alerted me that tickets were being offered for cheap by someone online. I meet Sarah at a Smashing Pumpkin show late last July and we for some reason became friends. (and i know you people are asking yourself, "how do people keep making this mistake and becoming friends with Monte?")
So if I can really get these tickets for cheap then I will go. Sarah is already going for sure. I'll let you know if I end up going

I caved in and got a blog

I have always felt Blogs were too trendy for me to fall into..
But recently a beloved friend of mine wanted to add videos to her blog yet not use youtube to host them. I wasn't very happy with the way the video looked on her blog during my 1st attempted to embed the video so I signed up for a blog to see how much I power the blog site gave her.
Eventually I have come out with this message for Blogger.
